What makes a Gay Beach great?  Some times it’s the beautiful location.  Some times the sandy beach.  But most important, a reliable mix of Gay men. 

  1. Playa Los Muertos, Puerto Vallarta: Popular Gay section of Puerto Vallarta’s most popular beach. The Gay area is at the far end of the Romantic Zone.  Considered a party hotspot with the nearby Blue Chairs Resort and the Sapphire Beach Club.  Sandy beach with lounge chair rentals.
  2. Farme de Amoedo, Rio de Janeiro:  Large area of Gay men on the famous Ipanema Beach.  You can’t miss the Gay flags, the hot men or the  club music.   Stay until sunset and then head over to Ipanema’s Rio G Spa sauna. 
  3. Hilton’s Beach, Tel Aviv:  It’s the place Gay men go on sunny afternoons. Just below the Hilton Hotel.   Evening cruise area by the park adjacent to the Hilton.
  4. Herring Cove Gay Beach, Provincetown: An essential part of the Provincetown experience.   Beautiful sandy beach on the far end side  of town. Ride a bike along Route 6, park with the other bikes along the road and follow the trail to the Gay and clothing optional beach
  5. Mar Bella Gay Beach, Barcelona:  Gay clothing optional northern section of Barecelona’s famous Mar Bella.  Sexy gay club  boys with perfect bodies as well as regular Gay guys and trans people.  Crowed and friendly.  Food and drinks at the Chiringuito BeGay food kiosk.  Very cruisy with Gay Men at night.  
  6. Elia Beach, Mykonos:    The beach of choice for Gay men visiting Mykonos.  Rent a lounge chair and umbrella or hang out on the rocks at the far right end.   Cruise area up the rocky bluf.
  7. Jomtien Gay Beach, Pattaya, Thailand:  Most popular Gay beach in Thailand. Idyllic sandy beach and a gay hot spot, with restaurants and bars.

  10. Maspalomas Dunes, Gay Beach at Kiosk 7, Gran Canaria:  The  always crowded Gay beach area of the Maspalomas Dunes.  Lounge chairs  and umbralles for rent.  Kiosk Bar for food and drinks.  Cruise area in the Dunes.
  11. Clifton Beach #3, Cape Town:  Beautiful scenic clean golden sandy beach set amongst the greenery with mountains in the back ground.  Mixed crowd but #3 is most favored by Gay men. 
  12. Wreck Beach, Vancouver:  Long  7.8 km beautiful clothing optional beach at the foot of Spanish Banks below the University of British Columbia.  The largest naturist beach in the Americas.  Go naked in sea while looking up to the snow capped mountains in the distance.  A beautiful experience and a very friendly beach. 
  13. North Bondi Beach, Sydney : There is no better beach in the world for watching buff surfer boys.  Gay men sun and swim at the North end of this big wide clean sandy beach.
  14. Super Paradise Beach, Mykonos   Possibly the more chic of Mykonos’s beach popular with Gay men.  Big beautiful sandy beach with  rather expensive   lounge chair and umbrella rental.   Enjoy the beach and head up to Jackie O’ for drinks and the sunset show.   Take the Sea Bus, the party bus or a scooter/quad to get there.
  15. Black’s Beach, San Diego:  A sandy secluded section of beach beneath the bluffs of Torrey Pines on the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla, San Diego. It is officially part of Torrey Pines State Beach.  The norther section of the beach is considered clothing optional, but check with the crowd on current rules and enforcement. 
  16. Sebastian Beach, Fort Lauderdale:  Popular with Gay male locals and visitors to Fort Lauderdale.  Wide, clean, sandy beach and relatively warm clear water.  Crowded on any hot sunny afternoon.
  17. 10th Street Beach, Miami Beach:   The Gay section of Miami’s famous wide white sandy  beach.   The Gay flags and the Rainbow crosswalk on Ocean Drive attest to the city’s support for Gay’s in South Beach. 
  18. Playa de Las Balmins :  Nude/clothing optional sandy beach in a beautiful cove a nice walk north from central Sitges past the historic church.
  19. Playa de la Bassa Rodona, Sitges:  Sandy beach across from the Hotel Calipolis.  Lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent.
  20. Playa del Muerto, Sitges:  Clothing optional/ nude rocky stone beach with a small bar and cruising area in the forest beyond the train tracks. Small bar.   Take taxi or ride bike to L’Atlantida disco then walk 10 minutes and pass the first (mixed crowd) beach. continue to the second beach.  
  21. The Beach at Fire Island Pines:  Long sandy beach along the ocean side of the famous Fire Island Pines.  If you are staying in the Pines or the Grove, it’s the place to hang out during the afternoon.   Cruise areas in the Meat Rack,  the swampy forest area between the Pines and the Grove.
  22. San Gregorio Private Beach:  A clothing-optional beach on private property just north of the state-owned Beach between San Jose and San Francisco.  San Gregorio is a narrow beach with driftwood at the base of the bluff. Men build up private spaces by building up walls using drift logs.  The gated private parking lot entrance is the first driveway on the ocean side of Highway 1 just north of La Honda Road.
